My psychiatrist is resistant to me using bits of the Asperger’s Syndrome model in trying to understand my psyche because I’m too sociable and actually make more eye contact than normal people. Also I love rather than hate fluoro lights except in certain moods when they irritate me. But when put in the context of other symptoms of Asperger’s I have that don’t oscillate, this to me suggests that I have more in common with Asperger’s people than with people who have moderate levels of eye contact and are indifferent to fluoro lights, etc.
Someone with a chakra that contracts and expands wildly has more in common with someone who is stuck in an extreme state of contraction or expansion in that chakra than with someone who enjoys a calm, moderate level of chakra openness.

When people do you a favour on their terms or in a way that makes things worse for you, eg telling you they’ll cook you dinner but not doing it till too late, it’s the same as eg evangelicals who secretly love the fact that poverty exists so they can be the conduit of charity.
